Smile- It’s Picture Day!

Smile- It’s Picture Day!

Tuesday, August 30th is Picture Day!

Please remember to send your child/children to school ready for pictures tomorrow!
Forms for photo packages were sent home last week, with an option to order online (you will get an order reference code to write on the form to send back with your student).
If you do not plan to purchase a picture package, your child’s photo will still be used for a class photo!

Spirit Friday!

Remember to show your School Spirit!
Wear any Mapleton Elementary t-shirt OR a blue shirt on Fridays to show your School Spirit! (purchase of a school shirt is not required)

School Open House

School Open House

Mark your calendars for the school open house on Tuesday, August 16th from 10am-12:30pm! Meet your teachers, sign up for volunteer opportunities, and join the PTA (or renew your membership)! There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer with the school; however, if your schedule does not allow you to do so, your membership fee will help to carry out the fun programs that we do throughout the year!  If you prefer to purchase your PTA membership online, please use the links below:
Single Membership ($6)
Dual Membership ($12)

We will also have school t-shirts available to purchase at the Open House for a discounted price. This year we will be celebrating our school spirit every Friday. The class who shows the most spirit by wearing a school t-shirt or school colors will receive rewards as well as a school trophy to be passed to the classroom with the most spirit!

Final Thank You, Reflections and Sign Ups

Final Thank You, Reflections and Sign Ups

As this school year comes to an end we would like to give one last thank you to the all of our parent volunteers who donated their time and money to make all of our activities successful. Programs like Reflections, Red/White Ribbon Week, Green Ribbon Week, Walk to School Day, Spelling Bee, SEP Conference dinners for the teachers, and Teacher Appreciation Week wouldn’t happen without your help. Funds from the fundraiser also go back to the school to help teachers buy supplies for their classrooms and to help the administration purchase other important equipment/supplies. Thank you for your support!

Most recently our parent volunteers helped pull off a successful Field and Water day at the park. We would like to give a big thank you to Zebra Cleaning for donating the Creamies that were distributed during the event to help cool off the kids. Thanks again to Audra Crandall and Sara Harward for organizing the event.

Looking for something to keep your kids busy this summer? Have them get a head start on their reflections projects! The theme for next year is, “Show Your Voice.” They can enter in the categories of Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, 2D Visual Arts, and 3D Visual Arts (they can have entries in as many categories as they would like). Encourage your kids to share their talents!

We’re always looking for more help in the PTA. If you are interested in volunteering next year, please sign up at this link https://www.signupgenius.com/g o/20F0948AEAD2DA2FE3-202223

PTA News and Notes – May 2022

Fundraiser = Mission Accomplished!

  • First off, we’d like to thank everyone who donated and made our fundraiser a huge success! We exceeded our goal and are excited that the kids will be able to enjoy the rewards that were earned.
  • We’d like to thank Trapnell Orthodontics for sponsoring the helicopter ping pong ball drop and Harward Farms for lending us a pig for Mrs. Thomas to smooch. Also, the awesome folks at Lollipuff are donating cotton candy to the top earning class from each grade (they did this for our fundraiser last year, too)! We couldn’t pull this off without our awesome business partners in the community. Thank you also to Alisa Liston for helping organize all of this.

  • Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up next week and Jessica Stevenson has a week full of fun things planned to recognize our amazing teachers for all that they do for our kids. Once again, we’d like to thank you all for your generosity in signing up to donate money and items in order to make this week a huge success!

  • Our final PTA meeting of the year is coming up on Thursday May 19th at 9:30 am. Please join us!

  • Thanks in advance to Sara Harward and Audra Crandall for organizing our Field Day again this year. They always do such an awesome job!
